I was asked to take pictures for the 2016 Sip & Savor (April 28th) and Granbury’s Wine Walk (April 29th 30th). I want to thank Charles & Dominique Inge for recommending me and then thank event chairperson Deborah Rollins for allowing me to wonder around and take some fun photos. This type of photography is not my favorite because there are no poses, it is catch as you can then edit what doesn’t work. In three days there were approximately 750 digital photos taken. In those there were many duplicates and some just not good enough to use so the final that I selected were just over 150 and covered three days.
The 28th was the private party and art sale at the Inge estate and involved the setup and then the evening features. Participants enjoyed exclusive chef prepared entrees tailored to the wine from one of the wine providers, live music, and opportunity to bid on local art. The evening was beautiful as were the surroundings.
The 29th and 30th involved the city of Granbury hosting vendors and visitors tasting wine, treats, and purchasing local crafts while touring the Historic Granbury Square with its friendly shops and neighbors. Future Wine Walk events are planned and walking around the town square sipping wine and enjoying local art and feasts, makes it the event of the year.
